Holidays are great things... A lot of study on micro-expressions and emotions and a glorious bout of stress relieving gaming. In the spotlight this post is X-Wing, StarWars lcg and Season 2 Dreadball.
Firstly Shaun and his son Craig came over to sample X-Wing in all its glory. I took a couple of Xs and an A to start against their four Ties an Advanced and an Interceptor. A couple of games and they were hooked and already planning purchases. Job done on my part one feels.
The games were a full on meet and greet and then the Senator's Shuttle scenario.

Then in the evening it was robot team time in the Dreadball league as the D'Arlecs took to the grid. They have a great way of carrying the ball and got a 7-0 win against Charlie's Forge Fathers. The robot team is very different to play with and I through out my new tactic of completely blocking off the 3/4 point zone with the robot heavy guards. This left 3 outfield bots to change roles and cause mayhem. I was ahead all game but it was tense.
After that we cracked out the Star Wars living card game and walked through the rules. It is my first foray into the living card game genre. The game played a lot better than I expected it to do and I must say I'm hooked. For once the starter set is going to keep me going for a long time which is a novelty I think.
Even got a quick skate in this week and tomorrow discuss my future plans work wise with a lady from Holland - sounds dodgy but it's not.
