Sunday afternoon saw our first (of many I suspect) visits to the TITANS club in Finchley. Technically only just 'down the road' this friendly and thriving club had somehow been shielded from our scanners for the last couple of years. Meeting two Sundays a month there seems to be about 20 members playing mainly GW games but with a splattering of other games and a few x-wing pilots. Very friendly chaps and we even found Charlie from our club visiting for his first game as well.
Shado and I spent our afternoon testing lists for next Saturdays comp but also enticed Chris (one of the organisers of the club) into a game. Chris had played a bit before and we had a good game. Definately going to be a new Sunday home I think.

I really wanted to take Luke in an x-wing and Han and Chewie in the falcon to the comp next Saturday. After all it's Star Wars day and nothing says Star Wars to me more than that combo. But they do not fair well against a 'swarm' build, especially Tie interceptors which can bring too much fire power to bear on each ship. They would be brilliant at 150 points which a couple mor ships for protection.
So try two was a three ship build downgrading the falcon but adding an A-wing. The A proved to fragile without itself being a swarm with Shado's interceptors ruthlessly picking on it.
So try three build was Luke, wedge a rookie and a y wing. This proved a better build but not sure about the y without a turret.

So, where does that leave my thinking. Pretty sure I'm going to either take an imperial 6 shipbuild. Darth, an interceptor and four ties. Or the falcon with Han and Luke plus two rookies.
