First mission tonight saw the Rebels trying to escort a senator's shuttle off the table. It all got rather hectic with Darth trying to shoot Luke into the dark side.
Han in the 'falcon' finally took Darth down, an escape pod flying off into the distance. The tie fighters had over shot the shuttle but eventually managed to turn and started taking the shuttle shields down.
Eventually however the shuttle was shot down and the ties escaped. One to the Empire played by Charlie, Steve and Andrew. Myself and Shado had to do with a moral victory as Darth had suffered.
The second mission saw us trying to stave off the Empire ships who were intent on nicking vital data from rebel sats.
This time it was a case of shoot them down as quick as.

The game play this mission was more tactical as we had a handle on the rules a bit better.
Luke and Han took some ships out but it was a bad day for Biggs as he got shot down yet again. Luckily the rookie reinforcement we got back seemed to be a legend!

All three sats were scanned so we had to take the ties down before they got off the board.
Luke and Darth were having their own private dogfight complete with sounds effects from my SW effects app. Darth succumbed to Luke's withering fire although R2D2 had saved his ass by getting his shields back on line a few times (card ability upgrade). Meanwhile Han was taking down the other ties nicely. But we left it a go too late. The academy pilot with the new tie interceptor (we figured it was a graduation present from daddy) had a surprising lick of speed and managed to speed off with one hull point left!
Another Empire win of sorts. There is definitely a disturbance in the force!
All in all another triumph for the rules as we had a very enjoyable evening complete with lots of bad renditions of the music and 'pew pew' sound effects backed up by the real sounds.
Dreadball, skirmish sangin and x-wing plus assorted board games might mean I don't need any other gaming gear. Frightening thought!
