Four of us set off to the Norwich comp on Sunday. Fair to say we didn't have a brilliant day. I ended up playing 3 out of 4 of the top four and one relative beginner. Had four real close games which saw some really shocking rolls on my part. I failed to strike a 3/4 strike 8 times during the day where I was rolling 3 or 4 dice needing 4 plus. Usually this came as I was about to win or in one case needed to score to stop them winning.
By even fair odds I should have won all my games by landslides but still. Did sort of show how as coaches get better home advantage is stronger.
I did manage to get the prize for the striker with most 4 point strikes which showed how bizarre the 8 misses were.
Sort of getting dreadballed out - hopefully Season 2 will pull me back into the mode.
Over the break I need to concentrate on Modern skirmish stuff I have to write and also study for my planned career change - which is top secret at the moment, even if a clue would be,
'just call me Lightman'
:)
